Your Personal Peace Formula by Mansukh PatelMansukh Patel’s Peace Formula has been written in the spirit of seeing the New Millenium as an opportunity to reaffirm that peace is not only possibly but a necessity if humanity wants to survive. Recognising that an essential pre-requisite to achieving peace in the world, is to achieve peace and harmony in our own lives, Mansukh takes us on a journey, showing us in simple and practical ways the steps we can take to achieve true peace of mind, whatever our circumstances. In fact being truly human calls for this inner revolution to take place so we can, as Mansukh writes, ‘leave the mind, enter the chamber of the heart – where frontiers end and friendship begins’. This book grew from Mansukh Patel’s part in the Friendship Without Frontiers world journey (with John Jones, Rita Goswami, Andrew Wells and Anita Goswami), meeting with eminent peacemakers such as Mother Teresa. Mansukh met with people everywhere engaged in helping and supporting life and community. Rooted in actual experience and the wisdom of people from many cultures, together with Mansukh’s deep personal connection to the Gandhian heritage; this is a very readable book offering perspectives and insights which are both inspirational and practical. You can read more info here: Your Personal Peace Formula, by Mansukh Patel Related material for personal development: Turning Points book, by Anita Goswami and Mansukh Patel Imagine World Peace, by Mansukh Patel A Call to Action, by Savitri MacCuish, Mansukh Patel and Andrew Wells |
| Peace Formula - Practical meditation in a busy world |
| I’ve got a long–standing relationship with the Peace Formula, by Mansukh Patel. I had a copy of the first edition in 1993, which became increasingly well-read and well-thumbed as the years went by. Not only have I used it as a manual for meditation sustaining my own yoga and meditation practice, it has inspired my teaching of meditation over many years, and I was also part of the graphics and IT team which created the Dutch translation of the book. | |
